Diving rules in Maldives
Extract of the diving rules of the Maldivian government:
every diver needs a valid dive certificate
all divers have to dive in a Buddy-Team or with a guide
maximum depth for all dives is 30 m
maximum depth for OWD/CMAS */equiv. certifications 20 m
maximum dive time 60 min
No decompression diving
every diver needs to dive with their own computer
if the last dive was more than one year ago, an orientation-dive must be done
your last dive should be minimum 12 hours before flying and it is better 24 hours.
An orientation dive is usually required.
